Thanks for the comments y'all. Yes for some sadistic reason (!) I wind up tugboating the ship solo when it comes to running goth-centric events. I guess it does tend to wind up being an individualistic crusade more often than not these days, but ultimately a dreadfully tedious one. It's healthier and saner to gravitate more towards what inspires and uplifts - strange that takes so much concerted effort, huh? As a former party promoter from socal, I fully appreciate how much effort it takes to organize something. In fact, you're using the vertical pronoun and it makes me wonder if you are doing all this by yourself. Hi folks, I've put *SWIRL* on hiatus for this month, so there won't be a 7/16 event - I need to recharge my batteries and have a little summer down-time. I will however be throwing a different event at the Catalyst this Saturday 7/9 and it is called Flirt! You can read all about it in the events section below - it would be cool to see some of you there (compatible with *SWIRL* but a different vibe). We just debuted it last month and it was received rather well. In the meantime regarding SWIRL, I'm going to admit I crave more feedback than I have received so far. All too often I feel that folks in the dark scene dismiss how much effort and energy goes into making things happen, especially on the weekends.
