4AD tribute in San Francisco on March 30th!

A Swirly Event

Just a heads-up that I will be DJing gothic and swirly fare at the Gothic Fantasy Waltz (aka Tokyo Dark Castle) at the Cherry Bar, coming up on Thursday, 12/22 . Do try to make it out for this one as the promoters pour effort into making these events special - the last one on a Sunday at DNA Lounge went off very well indeed! And also, this is one of the few non-electrodance DJ gigs I have coming up in the near future. Getting back to my roots...

It should be a fun occasion and I will be totally gratifying those pent-up requests, besides encouraging fervent dancing :-)

Hullo!
Well it's time to check in and apprise you all of a change of direction in my nightlife indulgence. Lately, I'd been concentrating my focus on building up Flirt! at Catalyst Cocktails, and have had some fine times there altogether with this and Swirl over the past year. However much I enjoyed Flirt nights, though, the event was necessitating a prodigious monthly effort coordinating acts, entertainment, decor, and the free time to do that lately had been reduced by more pressing commitments. So although I relished the wonderful result and happy customers at each event, I wasn't as keen on the significant, advance prep and that I didn't get to concentrate exclusively on my first love of bringing and sustaining dancers on the floor.

So we've decided to let Catalyst assume the running and promotion of future Flirt! events and I know that the staff is going to do it justice in the making, while in the meantime, I've gotten back to guest DJing more so than promoting and am having a fine time of it! I've been expanding my focus for events to DJ and frequent - this Saturday I will be spinning at the Azul Lounge and for those of you who like diversity in your clubs, I urge you to come and check out SUBmerge *see link below*.

Just thought it high time to state changes in directions, now that I have a pretty good idea of which way I'm headed!

Hi folks,
I've put *SWIRL* on hiatus for this month, so there won't be a 7/16 event - I need to recharge my batteries and have a little summer down-time. I will however be throwing a different event at the Catalyst this Saturday 7/9 and it is called Flirt! You can read all about it in the events section below - it would be cool to see some of you there (compatible with *SWIRL* but a different vibe). We just debuted it last month and it was received rather well. In the meantime regarding SWIRL, I'm going to admit I crave more feedback than I have received so far. All too often I feel that folks in the dark scene dismiss how much effort and energy goes into making things happen, especially on the weekends. So I would like to hear from you - drop me a line about your experience and what you want to see/hear.

I'm coming online once again to remind you nocturnal spooks that there is a night club that remembers the definition of decadance and does everything to adhere to further providing it. I'm talking about Puttin on the Ritz, Ginger Rodgers, and gettin down like you don't give a F@%!. Do you really want to miss this?

In musical treats you will have DJ's Purgatory, Femme Mystique [of Swirl], and Xander (guest to be announced) who are more than willing to take your requests and extend you beyond your musical ventures.

He will be operating in force on 2nd Fridays, while I drop back to spinning at Luna Rouge on the 4th Fridays of the month. This allows me to concentrate more on *SWIRL*, while also having a wee bit more weekend time available.
